Cleaning your oven

Most ovens come equipped with a cleaning feature, but most of the time, that does not clean your oven good enough. A dirty oven is even a potential fire hazard. Follow these steps below to have your oven looking brand new again.

When to clean:

  1. Every 6 months
  2. Grime buildup

  1. Vinegar
  2. Baking soda
  3. Mixing bowl
  4. Water
  5. Rag
  6. Spray bottle

How to:

Step 1: Remove oven racks

Step 2: Creating the mixture

  1. Add a couple tablespoons of baking soda to you bowl
  2. Add a very small amount of water to the baking soda and mix
  3. You are trying to create a paste. The amount of water you will need to add will vary
  4. Continue mixing and adding necessary baking soda or water until you have a paste like substance

Step 3: Spread this mixture all over the inside of your oven

Step 4: Let sit overnight

Step 5: Remove as much of the baking soda you can with a wet rag

Step 6: Add vinegar to spray bottle

Step 7: Spray any remaining spots with vinegar and let sit for 15 minutes

Step 8: Wipe spots with wet rag

Step 9: Leave your oven open or turn it on a low temperature for 15 minutes to dry
